Tuesday, December 6th at Fat Baby in Manhattan, Blackland Records recording Artists “Hymns” performed their first official show since the recording of their debut record. The boys were warmly recieved (thanks for coming!) as they tore through the following setlist: (1) power in the street (2) friends of mine (3) brother/sister (4) first time (5) scenery glow (6) magazines (7) starboat (8) stop talking (9) town. Blackland Records recording artists “Hymns” will be playing tonight on the lower east side of Manahattan at “Fat Baby” (112 Rivington Street between Ludlow & Essex). The boys should hit the stage at about 10pm and would love to see you there.

John Kent, President of Blackland Records, Inc. announced today the signing of the first artist to his label. Brooklyn, New York based band Hymns, led by singer/guitarist Brian Harding and drummer Matt Cole will be recording their debut album this summer at The Vault Studio in Celeste, Texas and expect a late 2005 release date. Kent is very excited about working with the band and believes that the quality batch of songs written by Harding will provide excellent source material for the outstanding album he is determined to kick-off his nascent label with.
